After Paris we made our way to London for their fashion week. It was my first time in London and couldn’t have been more perfect. The weather felt amazing after what we experienced in New York and our flat was straight out of a magazine. On top of that it was smack dab in the middle of Covent Garden so we were surrounded by the best food and shopping; all within walking distance. We went to a handful of shows and presentations but honestly my favorite memories are frolicking around the city with Sage, Carrie, and Amanda and meeting soo many people in the industry. We had a lot of lunches, dinners, and drinks with Carries friends in the fashion world and getting to talk to them about stuff that people outside of it don’t necessarily understand was so refreshing.
We also gave ourself time to explore and experience the city. I think it’s important to be a tourist no matter how many times you’ve seen the pictures on instagram so you can truly see and experience the energy yourself. Between that and attending fashion week parties and events with locals I feel like I really got to experience life there even if it was such a short period of time in retrospect. When I started laying out the pictures for this post I noticed about half were girly and pastel colored while the other half were more dark and sultry. While one could say this is a lack of clear aesthetic on my end I’ll argue that this is a perfect example of London. It has a nice prim and proper side filled with flowers and cute cafe’s and then a darker, sexier side that can be found just as much. Considering I dress according to my mood you can see how the city rubbed off on me in different ways. Shop my looks from the week below and enjoy my photo diary. XOXO
