When did you begin High End Hippie and what made you decide to start?
High End Hippie started many years ago as a Tumblr. I started it as an outlet for creativity and a place to go for inspiration. I had come up with the name when I was describing my style to someone and basically treated it as a mood board for my life. I acquired a large following and when Instagram and bloggers started getting bigger and bigger I started an Instagram as an extension of the brand. I would link back to the Instagram from my Tumblr to migrate my following there and eventually started posting my own pics and outfits. I didn’t know what I was getting myself into but after about 3 years I’m happy to say I kind of know what I’m doing now (kind of).
When did your interest in fashion and beauty begin?
I was obsessed with fashion from day 1. I found putting outfits together was my way of expressing my creativity. I would pair things together that others considered unexpected and was obsessed with keeping up with all things fashion. My interest in beauty didn’t really come until I had started blogging, mainly because it overwhelmed me. These days the 2 kind of go hand and hand so I’m much better versed and up to date with all the trends thanks to the brands and their PR companies.
