swimming with wild pigs

To kick off my slew of outfit posts from my recent trip to The Great Exuma Islands in the Bahamas, I have to share my favorite part of the trip: swimming with wild pigs. Ever since I saw the movie Uptown Girls I’ve wanted a pig (specifically named Moo) and have spent many of my sleepless nights scouring the internet looking for them, stalking people who had them, and simultaneously thinking of ways I could get away with raising one as my own. So I think you can imagine my excitement when I hopped off the boat to be greeted by a wild pig, then 4 more. And just when I thought it couldn’t get any better a tiny 2 month old piglet revealed himself from their homestead on the island beneath his little palm tree. I literally played with wild pigs in the clearest most beautiful ocean I’ve ever seen. If you know me, as silly as it sounds, you know this is my euphoria. There are many legends as to how these pigs got there in the first place but regardless, the island is now reffered to as “Pig Island” and is an absolute must to anyone who comes to The Exumas.
