To break up our trip across the pond we decided to go to the tail end of NYFW despite the bitter cold. It was a short trip with a lot packed into it but so worth it. As a lover of fashion, networking, and meeting new people this silly fashion week thing is very up my alley. It’s not only inspiring to meet the designers and see the collections but it’s amazing to meet other people in your industry and get to pick their brain a little. Traveling with friends makes this even better because their connections become yours and vice versa. Afterall this industry is a lot about who you know so finding friends that know and support this is very cool; ahem, Sage, Amanda, and Carrie (my travel buddies this time around).
My personal highlight was our last day in New York where we were woken up with a hair, makeup, and nail team in our hotel room from GoPriv. Ridiculous, I know. They were too good to us. After we got the diva out of our system for the day Sage and I headed to the Tommy Hilfiger show where we got to go backstage. It was mayhem in the coolest way. I was shoulder to shoulder with Jordan Dunn at one point and kept running into very familiar faces from the blogging/instagram world. It was cool to see the last run-through and what happens behind the scenes then actually experience the show. By far the coolest part of this fashion week. Shop all of my NYFW looks below and stay tuned for posts on Paris and LFW. XOXO
